Model checklist

Presentation

  1. Wash your hair the night before and let air dry (for Jess to be able to assess your hair properly)

  2. Wear no makeup, if a must wear minimal (less or none is better for Sam to assess your skin and for your polaroids and digis)

What to wear

  1. Come in activewear, crop top and crop bottoms to match for your polaroids (neutral colours). The workshop is heated and air conditioned and will maintain a nice enjoyable temperature for all.

What to bring

  1. Notebook and pen

  2. Hairbrush

  3. Drink bottle

  4. Snacks if you like (optional)

  5. Lunch (that doesn’t need to be refrigerated) (optional) if you don’t want to go to DFO

  6. Power bank for your phone or charger (optional)

10:00 – Introductions

10:15 to 11:30 – Garry

  • Navigating modelling industry, finding other creatives, portfolios, growing social media, posing, clothing, what to bring to a shoot.

11:30 – Group breakout

for polaroids, face card and hair beauty tips (20 minutes rotate)

Group A – Garry

  • Basic polaroids (Headshot, portrait, full body)

  • Self-measurement for comp card

Group B – Sam

  • Face card

  • Make up that works for each model

Group C – Jess

  • Hair analysis for each model

  • Hair care

12:30 to 1:30 – lunch intermission

  • Get lunch at DFO or have lunch with us and chill

1:30 to 2:30 – Samantha

  • In depth make up and beauty tips

2:45 to 3:45 – Jessica

  • in depth hair tips

3:45 to 4:00 – Conclusion

4:00 to 5:00 – Interviews and feedback anonymous forms
