About us

A simple start.

Clients book models across Australia through our directory. We're the introducer between you and the clients who need you, including brands, photographers, designers and production teams, from our home base in the ACT.

We look for all kinds of people, not just one kind of look. Experience is welcome but never required. What matters most is that you're professional, reliable and easy to work with.

We're growing, and the models who join us now will grow with us.

Before you apply

Good to know.

You must be 18 or over

We only accept applications from people aged 18 and over. We can't consider applications from anyone under 18, even with a parent's or guardian's consent.

If a client asks

If a client needs proof of identity or age for a job, we'll ask the model to provide it before the booking is confirmed.

It's free

Applying costs nothing. We never charge sign-up, registration or portfolio fees to apply. If anyone asks you to pay on our behalf, please let us know.

Independent contractors

Models listed on Untitled Models are independent contractors, not employees, and hold their own Australian Business Number (ABN). Don't have one yet? You can apply for one for free through the Australian Business Register, and we're happy to point you in the right direction.

Polaroids & digitals

Just you, as you are.

Polaroids (also called digitals) are simple, unedited photos that show clients exactly what you look like today. They don't need to be professional. A phone camera and a friend are perfect.

  • 01Use natural light: stand facing a window or shoot outdoors in open shade. Avoid flash and harsh midday sun.
  • 02Wear simple, fitted clothing, like a plain singlet or fitted tee with jeans or leggings. Black or neutral colours work best.
  • 03No make-up, or as little as possible. Hair off the face, or worn naturally.
  • 04No filters, no retouching and no editing of any kind.
  • 05Use a plain, uncluttered background, like a light-coloured wall.
  • 06Keep jewellery and accessories off, and hats and sunglasses too.

This only works with Professional accounts. Switching is free and takes a minute: in Instagram, go to Settings → Account type and tools → Switch to professional account and choose Creator. Your posts and followers stay exactly as they are.

Not sure? Measure over light clothing with a soft tape measure. Close is fine, and we'll confirm measurements if you're accepted.

03   Experience & interests

Don't have one yet? That's fine. You'll need one before your first booking, and we can help.

04   Polaroids

One photo for each slot. JPG, PNG or HEIC, up to 10 MB. Unedited, and following our polaroid guidelines.

05   Consent

We use the Meta Pixel and cookies on this site to measure our advertising. Meta may receive browsing data, including that you submitted this form. We don't send your name, email or phone number through the pixel. You can opt out in your Meta ad preferences or in your browser settings. This is set out in the privacy collection notice.

Our team looks at every application personally. We aim to reply within five business days.

If we think we're a good fit, we'll contact you by email or phone to arrange a chat, either in person in Canberra or by video call.

We agree

If we offer you a place, we'll confirm your ABN and go through our model agreement with you.

You start booking

We'll set up your profile and start putting you forward for work that suits you, in the ACT and interstate.

We receive a lot of applications, so if you don't hear from us within three weeks, we may not have the right work for you just now. You're welcome to apply again anytime.

FAQ

Questions.

Do I need experience?

No. Plenty of our models started with none. We just ask that you're reliable, punctual and professional.

Is there a height or size requirement?

Not overall. Different clients look for different people, and the directory covers fashion, commercial, fitness, curve, mature and more. Some fashion and runway work does have specific height requirements, and we'll talk you through that.

Do I have to live in Canberra?

No. We connect models with work across Australian states, from our home base in the ACT, so we welcome applications from anywhere in Australia.

Does it cost anything?

Applying is completely free, and there are no sign-up or registration fees to apply. Fees and any other terms are set out clearly in the model agreement before you sign anything.

Are you an agency?

No. We're an introducer, not an employer or agent. Clients book models across Australia through our directory. Models stay independent.

Why do I need an ABN?

Models listed on Untitled Models are independent contractors who hold their own ABN. You are responsible for your own tax and GST, and for any insurance or superannuation arrangements not met by an engaging client. Untitled Models does not employ models and does not guarantee work. An ABN is free to get through the Australian Business Register. We'd suggest speaking with a tax adviser about what's right for you.

Can I work with other agencies too?

Models are non-exclusive, except models based in Canberra, whose exclusivity is set out in their model agreement.

Why do I need a Professional Instagram account?

Clients often ask about social reach, so we show your follower count on your profile. We update it automatically each day using Instagram's official API, which only works with Professional (Creator or Business) accounts. Switching is free, and you can switch back at any time, but your count will stop updating if you do. We never ask for your Instagram password.

I'm under 18. Can I still apply?

Unfortunately not. We only work with models aged 18 and over. We'd love to hear from you once you turn 18.
